San Giacomo
The Sea Festival, in honor of St. James the Apostle, patron saint of sailors, is an event born in 1968 to recall the period in which the Municipality of Levanto was founded, therefore it dates back to local history after 1230. The most spectacular representations of the Festival, which has a religious preparation in the previous days, takes place on 24 and 25 July, with historical parades, medieval tournaments, the procession of crucifixes and the statue of the saint, the illumination of the gulf by placing ten thousand colored candles and fireworks that close the event.
